Obo, "Slade" à l'origine, est né de la rencontre entre le compositeur abstract hip-hop Dj Slade, le hautboïste Christophe Patrix et la chanteuse Aurore Coutant. Le trio parcourt les salles de spectacle de l'ouest de 2008 à 2010. Puis c'est en 2013 que Dj Slade concrétise le projet d'album pour garder une trace de cet univers original et magique.
